Most water filter taps are an afterthought — a small chrome or brushed nickel spout added beside the main faucet that immediately reads as a different product from a different world. This unlacquered brass water filter tap is designed to be the opposite. With a tall gooseneck spout and a traditional cross handle, it has the same presence and proportion as a full kitchen faucet — scaled for a single-hole installation, but visually substantial enough to hold its own beside any of our bridge faucets.

Made entirely from 100% solid brass in our Marrakesh workshop and left completely raw, it will develop the same living finish patina as every other unlacquered brass piece in your kitchen. If you have one of our bridge faucets installed, this filter tap will age alongside it — developing the same amber and bronze tones at the same pace, creating a kitchen where every brass element looks like it has always belonged together.

A Single-Hole Tap With Full Faucet Presence

The design challenge of a water filter tap is proportion. Most dedicated filter taps are small — deliberately understated, as if apologising for being there. This one takes the opposite approach. The gooseneck spout rises to a height of approximately 300mm, giving it the visual presence of a full kitchen faucet while connecting to a single supply line below the counter.

The cross handle — turned by hand on a traditional lathe in our Marrakesh workshop — controls a simple quarter-turn ceramic valve that opens and closes the filtered water supply. It is intuitive to use, long-lasting, and completely drip-free. The tapered base sits flat on the countertop, covering the single installation hole with a clean, substantial brass footprint.

As you can see in our product photography, this filter tap is installed beside one of our hammered brass undermount sinks — and the combination is one of our favourite pairings in the entire collection. The hammered texture of the sink surface develops its own patina, and the smooth polished surface of the filter tap develops its own — and together, over months and years, the two pieces create a kitchen that feels genuinely curated rather than assembled from a catalogue.

The dark slate countertop and navy wall in our photos show exactly why warm brass works so well against cool, dark backgrounds. The unlacquered brass — fresh from our workshop and photographed before patina has fully developed — already reads as warm, luminous, and alive against the deep charcoal and navy tones. As the living finish develops, the contrast becomes even more striking.

How It Connects to Your Filtration System

This tap connects to any standard under-sink water filtration system — reverse osmosis, activated carbon, or inline filter — via a standard ¼" push-fit connection at the base. It is not supplied with a filtration unit, as we recommend pairing it with whichever system best suits your water quality and household needs. Our tap is compatible with all major filtration brands.

Installation requires a single hole in your countertop or sink deck, with a minimum diameter of 35mm. Your plumber or countertop installer can prepare this hole before the tap is fitted. Full installation instructions are included.

Care Instructions

Daily: A quick wipe with a soft cloth after use. The gooseneck spout tip and the cross handle develop their patina fastest — wipe if you prefer a slower, more even development.

Weekly: Warm water and mild soap. No abrasives, no bleach, no descaler sprays directly on the brass.

For the spout tip: Filtered water leaves fewer mineral deposits than unfiltered tap water — so the spout tip on this faucet typically stays cleaner than a main kitchen faucet. If deposits do accumulate, a diluted white vinegar soak dissolves them gently.

Filtration system maintenance: Follow your filtration unit manufacturer's guidelines for filter cartridge replacement. The tap itself requires no additional maintenance beyond the care instructions above.

Can I install this beside any of your bridge faucets?
Yes — and we strongly recommend it. Because both taps are made from the same solid unlacquered brass in the same Marrakesh workshop, they will develop identical patinas over time. This is the only way to ensure your filter tap and main faucet age as a cohesive set.

Is a single hole enough for installation?
Yes. This tap requires only one hole — minimum 35mm diameter — in your countertop or sink deck. If your countertop does not have a pre-drilled hole, your countertop installer or plumber can prepare one before installation.

What is the difference between this and a standard cold water tap?
A standard cold water tap connects to the mains cold water supply. This dedicated filter tap connects exclusively to an under-sink filtration unit — it only dispenses filtered water. It is not suitable as a replacement for a main cold water supply tap.

Will it match my existing unlacquered brass faucet?
If your existing faucet is also unlacquered brass, yes — this tap will develop an identical patina over time. If your existing faucet is lacquered brass, polished brass, or another finish, the two will age differently.
