Description
Made for Each Other — Brass and Copper on Black Marble
Some material combinations are simply correct. Unlacquered brass beside raw copper on black marble is one of them. This unlacquered brass bridge kitchen faucet with lever handles is photographed here exactly as many of our customers install it — beside one of our handcrafted copper undermount sinks, on a black marble or dark stone countertop, against a deep navy or charcoal wall.
The result is a kitchen that feels like it was designed from the inside out — warm metals aging together, dark stone as the backdrop, every element developing its own character over time while remaining visually unified. Brass and copper are natural companions. Both are warm-toned. Both develop living patinas. Both improve with age. And when you buy both from the same Marrakesh workshop, they age in a way that feels coordinated rather than coincidental.
Two Spout Options — Same Living Finish
This faucet is available in two spout configurations, both shown in our product images:
Gooseneck spout: The high sweeping arc — generous clearance above the sink, dramatic silhouette, ideal for deep copper or farmhouse sinks. Shown in Images 1, 3, and 4.
Straight neck spout: Tall and vertical — more architectural, more formal, slightly more compact in visual footprint. Shown in Image 2.
Both are made from the same 100% solid unlacquered brass. Both develop the same living finish. Select your preferred spout at checkout, or contact us if you would like to discuss which suits your sink and countertop configuration better.
Lever Handles — Fluid, Timeless, Personal
The lever handles on this faucet are shaped with a traditional profile that references Victorian plumbing heritage while reading as completely timeless. A tapered arm, a bulbous stem joint, a small acorn finial at the tip — proportions that have been correct for over a century and will remain correct for the next one.
In practical terms, lever handles are the most intuitive handle type for a kitchen faucet. A single push or pull opens or closes the flow — no grip, no rotation, no two-handed operation when your hands are full. And because they move with the full length of the arm, the leverage is effortless even with soapy or wet hands.
The living finish develops most visibly at the grip zone — the middle section of the lever arm where your hand closes naturally. Over months of daily use, this area develops a slightly deeper amber tone, smoother than the rest of the arm from the constant contact of your palm. It is one of the most intimate expressions of the unlacquered brass living finish — a record of how this particular faucet has been lived with.
The Matching Side Sprayer — Solid Brass, Not Chrome
The side sprayer included in this set is solid unlacquered brass — not chrome-plated, not stainless, not a different material added as an afterthought. This is the only way to ensure it ages alongside the faucet rather than diverging from it over time.
In a kitchen where the main faucet is developing a warm amber patina and the side sprayer remains chrome-bright, the mismatch becomes more visible with every passing month. Our sprayer eliminates this problem entirely. Made in the same Marrakesh workshop from the same brass alloy, it develops the same tones at the same pace — and in five years, it will look like it has always been part of the same piece.
Why This Pairing Works — The Material Story
Brass and copper have been used together in kitchens and workshops for centuries — not because designers decided they should be paired, but because they belong to the same family of warm metals and age in complementary directions. Brass develops amber and bronze tones. Copper develops deeper rose and brown tones. Together on a dark surface, they create a warmth and depth that no chrome, nickel, or stainless combination can replicate.
The black marble countertop in our photos is not coincidental either. Dark stone — black marble, nero marquina, soapstone, dark granite — provides the perfect backdrop for warm metals. The cool, dark surface makes the warm gold of the unlacquered brass and the rose warmth of the copper sink glow against it. If you are considering a dark stone countertop and a copper or brass sink, this faucet set completes the picture.

Care Instructions
Faucet — daily: Wipe with a soft dry cloth after use. Allows the living finish to develop evenly.
Faucet — weekly: Warm water and mild dish soap only. No abrasives, no bleach, no ammonia.
Side sprayer: Rinse and wipe after use. Monthly vinegar soak for the nozzle in hard water areas.
Copper sink pairing note: Clean your copper sink with mild soap and water only — no abrasive cleaners. The copper patina develops alongside the brass patina, and both benefit from the same gentle care approach.
Monthly (optional): Lemon juice and baking soda paste on the brass restores brightness if preferred. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this faucet come with the copper sink?
No. The copper sink shown in our photos is a separate product available in our collection. This listing is for the unlacquered brass bridge faucet set with lever handles and side sprayer only. We recommend pairing it with our handcrafted copper undermount sink — contact us to order both together.
Will the brass faucet and copper sink age together naturally?
Yes — and beautifully. Brass develops amber and bronze tones. Copper develops deeper rose and brown tones. Both are warm-metal living finishes that improve with age. Because both are made in our Marrakesh workshop and left completely raw, they age in complementary directions and remain visually unified over time.
Which spout should I choose for a copper sink?
For a deep copper undermount sink, we recommend the gooseneck spout — the high arc provides generous clearance for large pots and makes filling easier. For a shallower copper basin, the straight neck works equally well and has a slightly more formal, architectural presence.
Does this faucet require 3 holes?
Yes. This set requires 3 holes: two for the bridge faucet at 203mm (8 inch) center spacing, and one additional hole for the side sprayer. Confirm your sink or countertop has 3 holes before ordering.
Is the side sprayer solid brass or plated?
Solid unlacquered brass — the same material as the faucet. It will develop an identical living finish patina alongside the main faucet, ensuring visual consistency over time.
