Description

The Bridge Faucet Reimagined — Classic Form, Modern Function

The bridge faucet is one of the most beautiful designs in kitchen plumbing history. The integrated pull-out sprayer is one of the most useful innovations in modern kitchen function. This unlacquered brass bridge kitchen faucet with pull-out hand sprayer combines both — giving you the warm, characterful silhouette of a traditional bridge faucet and the practical convenience of a retractable spray head, all in one solid brass piece made by hand in Marrakesh.

When not in use, the sprayer head sits inside the spout tip — invisible, integrated, and visually indistinguishable from a standard bridge faucet. When you need it, a single pull extends the flexible hose, giving you full directional control for rinsing vegetables, washing the sink, or filling pots that are too large to fit under a fixed spout. Retract it and it locks back into place automatically.

Every component is 100% solid unlacquered brass — body, bridge, cross handles, spout, and pull-out head. No lacquer. No coating. Just raw brass, developing a living finish patina that becomes more beautiful with every year of daily use.

Two Spout Options — Two Different Kitchens

This faucet is available in two spout configurations, both shown in our product images:

  • Straight neck with pull-out sprayer: A clean, tall vertical spout that rises directly from the bridge body — the more architectural, period-correct choice. The pull-out head retracts into the tip of the straight neck. Shown in Images 2 and 3 — particularly beautiful in the cream and marble kitchen setting.

  • Large gooseneck with pull-out sprayer: A sweeping, generous arc that provides maximum clearance above the sink — dramatic in scale, spectacular in a green-walled or bold-coloured kitchen. The pull-out head retracts into the tip of the gooseneck. Shown in Image 4 — photographed against a sage green shiplap wall with Carrara marble.

Select your preferred spout at checkout. Both include the full integrated pull-out sprayer mechanism and are made from the same solid unlacquered brass.

Cross Handles — Victorian Precision, Daily Ease

The cross handles on this faucet are turned individually on a traditional lathe in our Marrakesh workshop. Four arms radiating from a central ball joint, topped with a small finial — a form that has been in continuous use since Victorian plumbing became domestic infrastructure in the 1880s, because it is simply correct.

Cross handles are particularly well suited to a pull-out sprayer faucet because the two-handed operation — one hand on the handle to control temperature, one hand directing the spray head — is natural and intuitive with a cross handle in a way it is not always with a lever. The grip is positive, the rotation smooth, and the ceramic disc cartridge inside ensures there is never any drip.

Like every unlacquered brass surface on this faucet, the cross handles develop a living finish over time — darkening at the grip points, lightening slightly where touched less frequently, creating a natural gradient that records how this particular faucet has been used in this particular kitchen.

The Complete Installation Kit — Everything Included

As shown in Image 1, this faucet ships as a complete installation kit. Nothing needs to be sourced separately. The flat lay shows exactly what arrives:

  • Complete bridge faucet assembly with integrated pull-out sprayer

  • Retractable brass-coated pull-out hose with magnetic or weighted retraction

  • Braided stainless steel supply hoses (hot and cold)

  • Brass stop valves for hot and cold supply lines

  • Brass T-fittings and connection fittings

  • Full installation guide

Your plumber has everything needed from a single box. No additional trips to the hardware store.

Where It Looks Best — Design Context

Our product photography shows this faucet in two contrasting kitchen environments — and both work beautifully:

Cream and marble (Images 2 and 3): The straight neck version photographed in a cream Shaker kitchen with white marble countertops and a black range cooker. This is the quintessential English country kitchen setting — and the unlacquered brass reads as warm, correct, and completely at home. The brass hardware visible on the cabinet doors in the background confirms that this buyer has committed to brass throughout, and the faucet anchors the entire scheme.

Green and marble (Image 4): The large gooseneck version photographed against sage green shiplap panelling with Carrara marble countertops. The arc of the gooseneck against the vertical lines of the shiplap is a genuinely beautiful composition — warm gold against cool sage, the organic curve of the brass against the rigid geometry of the panelling. A brass vase with flowers in the background confirms this is a kitchen that has been thought about.

Care Instructions

Daily: Wipe with a soft dry cloth after use. Retract the pull-out head fully and ensure it locks back into the spout tip before wiping down.

Weekly: Warm water and mild dish soap on the faucet body. No abrasives, no bleach, no ammonia.

Pull-out hose: Extend the hose fully once a week and wipe with a damp cloth. This prevents any soap or grease buildup on the hose as it retracts into the body.

Pull-out head nozzle: In hard water areas, soak in diluted white vinegar monthly to prevent mineral buildup in the spray holes.

Living finish: The cross handles and spout body will develop their amber and bronze patina naturally over months of use. No intervention needed — this is the finish working as designed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the pull-out sprayer work in a bridge faucet?
The pull-out hose is housed inside the spout column. When retracted, the spray head sits flush at the spout tip — visually indistinguishable from a standard fixed spout. When needed, pull the head downward and outward — the hose extends to approximately 60cm of reach. Release it and the weighted or magnetic retraction system draws it smoothly back into the spout.

Does the pull-out mechanism affect the living finish development?
No. The living finish develops on all external brass surfaces regardless of the internal mechanism. The pull-out head itself — being solid brass — will develop its own patina from handling, matching the rest of the faucet over time.

Which spout is better for a farmhouse sink — straight neck or large gooseneck?
For a deep farmhouse or butler sink, the large gooseneck is the better choice. The generous arc provides more vertical clearance for large pots, and the extended pull-out reach covers the full width of a wide basin more easily. The straight neck works better in shallower or narrower sink configurations.

Does this faucet need 2 or 3 holes?
This faucet with integrated pull-out sprayer requires only 2 holes — the pull-out is integrated into the faucet body, so no additional side sprayer hole is needed. This makes it ideal for sinks or countertops with 2-hole configurations.

Can I pair this with your other unlacquered brass products?
Yes. Every product in our collection is made from the same solid unlacquered brass in the same Marrakesh workshop. This faucet will age identically to our hooks, handles, towel bars, and accessories — developing a cohesive patina across your entire kitchen and bathroom over time.
